How to Connect Amazon DSP

App path -> Setup → Data Connections → Advertising Connections

If you're running Amazon DSP campaigns, here's how to connect your DSP account to the emax digital Analytics Hub.

In which case is an Amazon DSP connection relevant for me?

A DSP connection is required for the following emax digital products:

  • Analytics Hub → Advertising → 360 DSP Report (and sub-dashboards: DSP Site Report, DSP Targeting Analysis, DSP ASIN Performance)

What data comes from the Amazon Advertising API (DSP)?

The Advertising API imports DSP campaign performance data including impressions, clicks, spend, and ROAS at campaign, line item, and ASIN level.

Prerequisites

  1. You have an active Amazon DSP account.

  2. The user account you use for authorization has access to the DSP advertising profile in the Amazon Advertising Console.

  3. You are not logged into any Amazon advertising account in your browser.

If your DSP is exclusively managed by an external agency, contact your customer success manager — setup may require coordination with your agency.

How to connect Amazon DSP

Step 1 — Log out of any Amazon advertising account

Make sure you are not logged into any Amazon Advertising Console in your browser before starting.

Step 2 — Open Data Connections

Go to Setup → Data Connections in the left-hand navigation.

Step 3 — Authorize the Advertising API

Click Manage in the Advertising Connections section, then click Authorize Amazon Advertising. Confirm the authorization on the Amazon sign-in screen.

Step 4 — Select your DSP advertising profile

After authorization, select your DSP profile by ticking its checkbox, then click Save.

Your DSP entity ID may appear as "ENTITY123456" rather than "A123456" — both formats refer to the same profile.

Done. Your DSP data will be available in the Analytics Hub within 72 hours.

For details on data scope and update frequency, see Amazon Advertising (DSP) — Data Scope and Update Frequency (Reference and Data). If you also use AMC, see How to Connect AMC (Amazon Marketing Cloud).
