What You Can Do with MCP (Use Cases)

๐Ÿงช MCP integration is currently in closed beta. This feature is available to selected users only. To request access, contact your emax digital account manager.

The emax digital MCP integration lets your AI tool query your Amazon analytics directly โ€” no dashboards to open, no manual data exports. You ask a question in natural language; the AI retrieves the relevant data from emax digital and gives you a structured answer.

This page shows real examples of what you can ask, how to phrase questions effectively, and what the integration covers. The integration works with Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Langdock. For setup instructions, see Getting Started with MCP (Setup & Supported AI Tools). For an overview of all 23 tools behind these answers, see Discover the 23 Tools Your AI Assistant Can Use via MCP.

Performance Analysis

Query revenue, units, and operational KPIs across your Amazon accounts in a conversational way โ€” without opening a single dashboard.

Example prompts:

  • "What was the Ordered Revenue for Germany in July 2026 compared to June 2026?"

  • "Show me the top 5 marketplaces by Ordered Units in Q2 2026."

  • "Is conversion rate improving or declining for our Vendor account over the last 4 weeks?"

  • "Summarise revenue performance for Q1 2026 across all marketplaces."

The MCP retrieves KPI values, period-over-period comparisons, and trend summaries drawn from your Vendor Central or Seller Central data in emax digital.

Product Deep Dives

Analyse individual ASINs, compare products, or investigate category performance without exporting data.

Example prompts:

  • "Which 5 ASINs had the highest Glance Views in Germany last month?"

  • "What is the Content Score for ASIN B08XXXXXXX?"

  • "Show me Ordered Revenue and Conversion Rate for our top 10 products in Q2 2026."

  • "Which category is growing fastest by Ordered Units over the last 3 months?"

Results are per-ASIN metrics, category rankings, and product comparisons โ€” all scoped to your authorized accounts.

Advertising Optimisation

Identify underperforming campaigns, review spend efficiency, and find opportunities without opening campaign reports.

Example prompts:

  • "Which Sponsored Products campaigns in Germany have an ACOS above 40% this month?"

  • "What is my total advertising spend for DSP in July 2026?"

  • "Show me TACOS trend for the last 6 months in the UK."

  • "Which ad types are driving the most new-to-brand purchases?"

The MCP covers advertising KPIs โ€” spend, ACOS, TACOS, impressions, clicks, conversions, and new-to-brand data โ€” across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP.

Cross-Source Insights

Combine Vendor Central, Seller Central, and Advertising data in a single prompt for a joined-up picture that would otherwise require switching between dashboards.

Example prompts:

  • "Compare revenue and advertising spend for Germany in Q2 2026. What is the TACOS?"

  • "Which categories have the highest revenue but the lowest content scores?"

  • "Show me the months where we increased DSP spend and whether revenue followed."

Beyond Your Own Data: Combining the MCP with External Sources

Your sales and advertising results depend on more than your own activity. Weather, school holidays, and public holidays can all shift demand. Because your AI tool can work with several sources in one conversation, you can combine your emax digital performance data with publicly available data and look for patterns that help explain why a week was stronger or weaker than expected.

The example below shows the concept. It is an illustration of what is possible, not a ready-made recipe. The data sources named here are examples only, and many others can be used. Depending on your AI tool and the source, the AI can fetch openly available data itself, or you can provide the data, for example as a file.

Example: Weather and school holidays

An account manager wanted to understand how much of the weekly sales pattern comes from outside influences. Two questions were explored:

  • Does rain influence summer sales? The year-over-year change in weekly sales was compared with rainfall in the summer holiday weeks of the German federal states. To isolate the weather effect, the comparison was adjusted for the overall level of the year and for weeks with short school-free periods.

  • How do school holidays affect weekly sales? Weekly sales over a longer period were compared with the share of days without school in each calendar week, separated into short school-free periods (including public holidays) and summer holidays.

Examples of external data that can be used:

  • School and public holidays: for example the official school holiday dates of the German federal states, published by the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK), together with public holidays.

  • Weather: for example historical weather data such as precipitation, sunshine duration, and temperature from an open source like the Open-Meteo Historical Weather API.

Example prompts:

  • "Compare the weekly Ordered Revenue for Germany in the summer holiday weeks with the same weeks of the previous year. Is there a connection to rainfall? Use openly available weather data."

  • "Show me my weekly Ordered Revenue since the beginning of 2024 next to the share of days without school per calendar week. Do weeks with many school-free days sell more or less?"

  • "Does this look different for summer holidays than for short school-free periods?"

The result can show whether a weak or strong week is likely linked to outside factors or points to something in your own performance. It can also help you plan campaigns, budgets, and stock around recurring patterns.

Keep in mind: A pattern shows that two things move together, not that one causes the other. Use analyses like this to ask better questions, and check the results against what you know about your products, campaigns, and promotions. Weather and holiday data are only two examples of external influences you can explore.

Tips for Effective Prompts

  • Specify the marketplace. Always include the marketplace (e.g. "in Germany" or "for DE"). Without it, results may span all your connected accounts.

  • Name the metric explicitly. Use emax digital metric names โ€” "Ordered Revenue", "Glance Views", "ACOS" โ€” rather than generic terms like "sales" or "performance".

  • Include the time period. Specify the month, quarter, or date range. "Last month", "Q2 2026", "July 2026" all work well.

  • Keep it focused. One question per prompt gives better results than multi-part questions. Ask for a summary first, then drill into specifics as follow-ups.

  • Clarify the account type if needed. If you have both Vendor Central and Seller Central connected, specify which one: "for our Vendor account" or "for our Seller account".

  • Not sure what's available? Ask your AI tool directly: "Which Amazon accounts can I access?" or "What data is available from emax digital?" or browse the full tool overview.
