This walkthrough takes you from a fully set-up emax digital account to your first structured business review of your Amazon performance. It ties together the tools you've configured during onboarding.
Before you start: Your data sources are connected, the initial import is complete (allow up to 72 hours per source), and your catalog has at least basic categories and tags in place.
Step 1 — Set the time period
Go to the Hub (Vendor Hub or Seller Hub). Use the time filter at the top to select the period you want to review — for example, the last full month. Enable the comparison period to put the numbers in context.
Tip: For a monthly business review, use Monthly as the filter and compare to the same month last year.
Step 2 — Review top-line performance
Open the Performance Summary Hub for an overview of revenue, units, and key metric trends vs the comparison period. Check the Key Insights panel — it auto-generates the most noteworthy changes so you don't have to find them manually.
Step 3 — Drill down into product performance
Go to the Product Performance dashboard and filter by your top categories or tags. Look for best performers, underperformers, and new or exited ASINs. Export the table if you want to include the data in a review meeting deck.
Step 4 — Check market visibility
Go to Market Insights → Share of Voice to see how your brand's visibility compares to competitors on the keywords you're tracking.
Step 5 — Review advertising performance
Skip if Advertising is not in your package.
Go to Analytics Hub → Advertising and check campaign performance vs budget (ROAS, spend, ACoS), top-performing campaigns and ASINs, and DSP overview if connected.
Step 6 — Check Monitoring alerts
Skip if Monitoring is not in your package.
Go to Monitoring to see any flagged issues on your product detail pages — availability problems, content changes, or price deviations that need attention.
Step 7 — Summarise and share
You now have a complete picture across revenue, product performance, market visibility, advertising efficiency, and monitoring alerts. Export data from individual dashboards using the download button in each dashboard.
Your first business review is done. Set a recurring cadence — weekly check-in or monthly deep-dive — to stay on top of your Amazon business. For more structured use case templates, see the Use Cases and Workflows section.
