Overview
The Inventory Overview sub-dashboard of the International Business Analysis suite gives Vendor Central brands a cross-marketplace view of their inventory and supply chain health. It consolidates Sellable on Hand Units (stock currently in Amazon's fulfilment network), Net Received Units (sell-in volume Amazon has accepted), Open Purchase Order Units (units on POs not yet received), and Forecasted Units (Amazon's expected demand) across all active marketplaces — with year-to-date totals, YoY comparisons, sales velocity, fill-rate metrics, and vendor lead time.
It is the starting point for answering: "Where am I overstocked or understocked? Is my supply running ahead of or behind Amazon's demand forecast? Where are POs not being confirmed or fully delivered?"
This dashboard covers Vendor Central inventory only. Seller Central FBA inventory is not included.
What You Can See on This Dashboard
Section: YTD Inventory Scorecards
Two KPI scorecards at the top of the dashboard give an instant year-to-date pulse on inventory and pipeline volume across all marketplaces combined.
Key metrics:
-
Sellable on Hand Units YTD — Total sellable stock currently available in Amazon's fulfilment network for the selected year, compared to the same year-to-date window last year. Unit basis follows the selected Distributor View (Manufacturing or Sourcing).
-
Open Purchase Order Units YTD — Total units on purchase orders Amazon has issued but not yet received, compared to the prior-year YTD window.
Visualizations: Two number scorecards, each showing the current-year YTD value alongside the prior-year equivalent.
Section: Sellable on Hand Units — YTD Snapshot by Marketplace
-
Pie chart — Distribution of Sellable on Hand Units across marketplaces for the selected year, showing where your stock is concentrated.
-
Bar chart (Sellable on Hand Units Development by Marketplace) — On-hand units over time, stacked by marketplace. Time granularity adapts to the Reporting Range filter (weekly, monthly, or quarterly). For the current year, the chart shows the last 12 weeks / months or last 4 quarters; for prior years, the full year.
Section: Inventory Health Overview Table — by Marketplace
A comprehensive YTD performance table with one row per marketplace, ranked by Sellable on Hand Units (highest first). This is the operational heart of the dashboard — every key inventory and fulfilment KPI in one view.
Columns shown:
-
Sellable on Hand Units — current stock at Amazon, with YoY Difference, YoY Trend, and Since Start of Year change.
-
Net Received Units — units Amazon accepted into its network during the selected year (sell-in).
-
Diff. Man.–Sour. — gap between Net Received Units in the Manufacturing view vs. the Sourcing view. Useful for flagging discrepancies between the two supply routes.
-
Forecasted Units — sum of Amazon's mean weekly forecast units from the Vendor Forecasting Report. Mean is Amazon's best estimate of customer demand (alongside P30 / P80 / P90 forecasts).
-
Diff. Net Rec. – Forecasted — gap between sell-in and Amazon's demand forecast. Positive = supply running ahead of forecast; negative = supply behind forecast.
-
Sales Speed (7-day) — average daily units sold or shipped over the most recent 7-day window. Helps estimate how quickly current stock will deplete.
-
Open POs — units on POs issued by Amazon but not yet received.
-
Confirmation Rate — Quantity Confirmed ÷ Quantity Submitted on POs. A lower rate suggests the vendor is unable to confirm Amazon's order volumes (capacity or supply issues).
-
Receive Fill Rate — Net Received Units ÷ Quantity Confirmed. A gap here points to delivery shortfalls after confirmation.
-
Vendor Lead Time — average number of days from PO issued to inventory arrival at Amazon, based on the selected Distributor View.
Section: Rolling Trend Charts — All Marketplaces
Two side-by-side line charts giving an aggregated view across all marketplaces combined.
-
Sellable on Hand Units — All Marketplaces — current year vs. prior year, period by period.
-
Net Received Units — All Marketplaces — current year vs. prior year sell-in, period by period.
Section: Marketplace-Level Inventory Trends
-
Sellable on Hand Units Development by Marketplace — line chart showing each marketplace's on-hand inventory over time (weekly / monthly per Reporting Range).
-
Sellable on Hand Units YoY Trend by Marketplace — bar chart showing YoY growth rate of on-hand units per marketplace and period, useful for spotting marketplaces where stock has fallen meaningfully below prior-year levels.
Section: Monthly Development per Marketplace (Detail Table)
A granular period-level breakdown with one row per marketplace per reporting period.
Columns shown: Report Date · Marketplace · Sellable on Hand Units (with YoY Trend) · Net Received Units (with YoY Trend) · Open POs.
Section: Supply vs. Forecast Summary Table
A second marketplace-level table focused specifically on the relationship between on-hand stock, sell-in, sales speed, open POs, and Amazon's forward demand forecast.
Columns shown: Marketplace · Sellable on Hand Units (with YoY Difference, YoY Trend, Since Start of Year) · Net Received Units · Diff. Man.–Sour. · Sales Speed (7-day) · Open POs · Forecasted Units.
Section: 13-Period Rolling Trend — Sellable on Hand Units
A line chart tracking total Sellable on Hand Units across the last 13 reporting periods (weekly, monthly, or quarterly per the Reporting Range) against the same periods one year ago. Only periods up to the latest available report date are included, ensuring a clean like-for-like comparison.

Filter interaction notes
-
Subcategory depends on Category. Only subcategories belonging to the selected Category will be available.
-
Distributor View changes the unit basis for Sellable on Hand Units, Net Received Units, Open POs, and Vendor Lead Time throughout the dashboard. The Diff. Man.–Sour. column in the tables compares the two views directly, regardless of the Distributor View setting.
-
Reporting Range changes both the granularity of the trend charts and the period definition behind the rolling 13-period comparison. For the current year, the marketplace bar chart shows the last 12 weeks / months or 4 quarters; for prior years, the full year is shown.
-
No currency filter. All metrics on this dashboard are volume metrics (units), so no currency conversion applies.
Use Cases
-
Global stock health check — Open the dashboard at the start of each week, set Reporting Range to "Weekly", and read the YTD scorecards plus the Inventory Health Overview table. Where is Sellable on Hand Units significantly below last year? Where are Open POs surging?
-
Spot stock-outs in the making — In the Inventory Health Overview table, divide Sellable on Hand Units by Sales Speed (7-day) to estimate days of cover. Cross-check Open POs and Vendor Lead Time to see whether replenishment is in flight in time.
-
Find supply-forecast gaps — Use the Diff. Net Rec. – Forecasted column to identify marketplaces where sell-in is materially behind Amazon's forecasted demand. These are the markets most at risk of going out of stock.
-
Diagnose PO fulfilment problems — A low Confirmation Rate means your team isn't confirming Amazon's POs (capacity/system issue on your side). A high Confirmation Rate but low Receive Fill Rate means POs are confirmed but not fully delivered — a logistics or production issue after confirmation.
-
Reconcile Manufacturing vs. Sourcing — Use the Diff. Man.–Sour. column to flag marketplaces where Net Received Units differ meaningfully between the two distributor views, which can point to data or routing inconsistencies between supply entities.
-
Year-over-year inventory trend by market — Use the Sellable on Hand Units YoY Trend by Marketplace bar chart to see which marketplaces have systematically lower (or higher) stock levels than the prior year, informing whether to push more inventory into specific markets.
Limitations & Notes
-
Vendor Central only. This dashboard covers Vendor (1P) inventory at Amazon. Seller Central (3P / FBA) inventory is not included.
-
Two distributor models, one view at a time. Most KPIs reflect either the Manufacturing or Sourcing view, depending on the Distributor View filter. The Diff. Man.–Sour. columns in the two summary tables are the only place both views are compared side by side.
-
Volume metrics only. All KPIs are in units, not currency. To pair inventory data with revenue or margin, use this dashboard alongside the Revenue Overview sub-dashboard.
-
Sellable on Hand is a snapshot. On-hand units reflect Amazon's reported stock at the snapshot points captured in the data. Movements between snapshots are not visible.
-
Forecasted Units = Amazon's "Mean" forecast. The Forecasted Units figure uses Amazon's Mean weekly forecast from the Vendor Forecasting Report — Amazon's best estimate of demand. P30, P80, and P90 forecasts are not shown here.
-
Sales Speed window. Sales Speed is a rolling 7-day average from the latest available sales data — it can be volatile around promotions, Prime events, or stock-outs and should be read as a directional indicator rather than a precise depletion model.
-
Confirmation Rate and Receive Fill Rate are sensitive to the PO data available for the selected year and filters. Very small ASIN sets or short periods can produce noisy rates.
-
Ignored catalogue entries are always excluded from totals.
