This feature is currently available to selected customers in a closed beta. Functionality and scope are still evolving.
What is Image Push?
Content Push lets you push text attributes (Title, Bullet Points, Description) to Amazon. Image Push extends this to product images β specifically the additional product image slots on the PDP. It runs through the same Amazon Feeds API pipeline as text content, so status feedback works the same way.
Important constraint: Amazon-hosted image URLs only
Currently, only image URLs that already live on Amazon's own infrastructure are accepted:
-
β
media-amazon.com -
β
ssl-images-amazon.com -
β Any other source (your own CDN, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) is rejected before the push is sent
In practice, this means you can currently only re-push images that already exist on Amazon (e.g. images previously captured from the PDP or catalog). Pushing brand-owned image assets that aren't yet on Amazon is not yet supported β that capability is in development.
Other current limitations
-
Per-ASIN only β no bulk image push
-
Images aren't yet integrated into the standard queue alongside text attributes
-
The workflow is intentionally minimal during the closed beta
How to push an image today
-
Open an ASIN in the detail view of the Content Monitor.
-
Scroll to the Images field.
-
Paste one or more Amazon-hosted image URLs into the "Add image URL" field.
-
Click the Amazon push icon next to the Images field to push that ASIN.
Status feedback (Done / Accepted with Issues / Failed) appears just as it does for text attributes β hover over the status icon to see any error detail returned by Amazon.
What's coming next
We're working on support for externally hosted and brand-owned image URLs, direct image upload, bulk image push, and full integration into the Master Content workflow. The planned direction: you host your images centrally (as large brands already do), provide the URLs once, and Amazon pulls them in β so you upload once and reuse everywhere.
