This dashboard is available in both Monitoring and Market Insights. The full documentation — including all metrics, filter details, use cases, and limitations — lives in the Market Insights section: šŸ° Share of Voice per Bestseller Category

Overview

The Share of Voice per Category dashboard tracks how visible your brand — and any competitor brands you choose to compare — is in Amazon's Top 100 Bestseller lists over time. Every product appearing in a category's bestseller chart is attributed to a brand, and the dashboard converts those appearances into a share of voice percentage per brand per period. This gives you a time-series view of whether your brand is gaining or losing presence in the most commercially important rankings on Amazon.

Underneath the share-of-voice trend, a product-level detail table shows every ASIN currently in the bestseller chart for the selected brands — including rank, rank movement, demand estimates, pricing, ratings, and how many days the product has held its chart position.

The dashboard works for both Vendor and Seller catalogues.

What You Can See

Brand Share of Voice — Visibility Trend Over Time

What it does

Brands

Required. Select your brand plus any competitors to compare. Each brand appears as a separate line in the trend chart.

Bestseller Category

The Amazon bestseller category whose chart you want to analyse. Only categories being actively tracked in your account appear here.

Marketplace

Single-select. Run the dashboard once per marketplace to compare markets.

Timerange Aggregation

Sets the granularity of the trend chart: daily, weekly, or monthly.

Common Use Cases

  • Monthly competitive visibility review — Add your brand and the 3–5 key competitors, set aggregation to Monthly, and watch whether their share of voice is rising while yours is flat — an early signal to investigate new launches, pricing, or advertising from the competition.

  • Measure the impact of a launch or campaign — Switch to Weekly or Daily aggregation around the launch window and track whether your share of voice steps up in the following weeks.

  • Spot a competitor's rising product early — In the product detail table, sort by Rank Trend and check ASINs climbing fast with a high Number of Days in Top 100 — these are the products taking your chart share.

  • Identify your own top chart performers — Filter to your brand only and find the ASINs with the highest Number of Days in Top 100 — these are your most consistent chart products to protect with stock, pricing, and advertising.

Key Notes

  • Bestseller lists must be set up. A category only appears if its bestseller chart is being tracked. Your own product categories are tracked automatically when a Vendor or Seller catalogue is connected; additional competitive categories need to be added under Setup → Monitoring Configuration → Managing Bestseller Lists.

  • Top 100 only. Products that slip below rank 100 disappear from the data entirely.

  • Sales estimation is conservative. The Min. Sales Estimation column uses Amazon's publicly displayed "bought last month" figure, which is rounded and capped. Treat it as a comparative signal, not an absolute number.
