Managing Data Connections

Migration note (Phase 1b): Content reproduced from the disconnect/delete/reconnect portions of the legacy pages "How to connect a Seller SP API?" (1667530823) and "How to connect a Vendor SP API?" (1666580613). Grammar and structure tidied; not yet optimised or fact-checked.

Your data connections are managed on the Data Connections page (Admin → Data Connections). This page explains how to disconnect, delete, and reconnect an account once it has been connected. For first-time setup, see the connection guides under Getting Started → Connecting Your Data Sources.

Disconnecting an account

You can disconnect a connected account at any time. When you disconnect, the collection of data is stopped immediately and the data is removed from the company account within 24 hours.

  • Seller Central: go to Data Connections, remove the checkmark for the account, and click save.

  • Vendor Central: go to Data Connections, hit disconnect, confirm your action, and hit save.

Deleting an account (Seller Central)

To delete an authorized Seller Central account completely, click "delete connection". As with disconnecting, the data import stops immediately and the data is no longer available within 24 hours.

The difference between disconnect and delete

With disconnect, the collection of data is stopped, but you can restart the data import by setting the checkmarks again. With delete (and for any disconnected Vendor Central account), the account must be re-authorized before data import can resume.

Reconnecting an account

To reconnect a Vendor Central account, or any deleted account, a new authorization is required — follow the relevant connection guide again under Getting Started → Connecting Your Data Sources.

Data retention: data from disconnected accounts cannot be restored after 60 days. For advertising profiles specifically, see the restore process on Amazon Advertising (SPA) — Data Scope and Update Frequency.
