Overview
The Brands & Products sub-dashboard is the drill-down view inside the Bestseller Overview suite. It zooms in on a specific brand's footprint in Amazon's bestseller charts — showing every product that appeared in the top 100 during the selected period, along with current rank, pricing, ratings, review counts, and how long each ASIN has held its position.
This is the view to use when you want to go beyond aggregate market share and answer brand- or product-level questions: Which of competitor X's ASINs are climbing the chart? How is their pricing moving? Are their ratings improving faster than ours? It is equally useful for tracking your own brand's chart presence and for benchmarking against named competitors.
The dashboard covers the past 7 or 30 days depending on the Reporting Range filter, and compares every KPI to the equivalent prior period of the same length.
What You Can See on This Dashboard
Section: Brand KPI Summary
A scorecard row that summarises the selected brand's bestseller footprint for the period, with prior-period comparisons.
Key metrics:
-
# Brands — Number of distinct brands present in the chart for the current filter selection. Usually 1 when filtering by a single brand, but useful when comparing across a brand portfolio.
-
# Products — Number of distinct products (ASINs) from the brand that appeared in the chart during the period.
-
Avg. Price — Average price across the brand's chart-listed products, based on the most recent price observation per product within the period.
-
Lowest Price — Lowest observed price across the brand's products in the chart.
-
Highest Price — Highest observed price across the brand's products in the chart.
-
Avg. Rating — Average star rating across the brand's chart-listed products.
-
Avg. # Ratings — Average review count across the brand's chart-listed products — a proxy for social proof strength.
Each KPI is shown alongside its prior-period equivalent so you can immediately see whether the brand's chart footprint, pricing, and customer sentiment are improving or declining.
Visualizations: Scorecard row, one number per KPI with prior-period comparison.
Section: Detail View on ASIN Level
A full table of every ASIN from the selected brand that appeared in the bestseller chart during the period, with chart history and trend indicators.
Columns shown:
-
Marketplace — The Amazon marketplace the chart entry belongs to.
-
Rank — The product's most recently observed bestseller rank in the selected category.
-
Picture · ASIN · Product Title · Brand · Bestseller Category — Product identifiers and the chart context.
-
Currency · Price · Price Trend — Current-period average price (in the selected currency) and percentage change vs. the prior period. ASINs with restricted price data show no value.
-
Rating · Rating Trend — Star rating and its change vs. the prior period.
-
# Ratings · # Ratings Trend — Total review count and its change vs. the prior period.
-
First date in top 100 — The earliest date this ASIN was observed in the chart (across all history, not just the selected period).
-
Last date in top 100 — The most recent date this ASIN was observed in the chart.
-
Number of times in top 100 — How many distinct observations placed this ASIN in the top 100. A proxy for how consistently the ASIN holds a chart position.
Visualizations: Sortable table with one row per ASIN.

Filter interaction notes
-
Brand is the central filter on this dashboard — the KPI scorecards and ASIN-level table both scope to the selected brand. To compare two brands, switch the Brand filter and read the dashboard twice.
-
Bestseller Category is dynamic — the available values depend on what categories have been tracked for your account.
-
Reporting Range defines both the current period (7 or 30 days) and the prior-period comparison window of the same length.
-
TAG(S) filtering only applies to ASINs that have been tagged in your Catalog — competitor ASINs that you have not tagged will not be affected by this filter.
Use Cases
-
Competitor brand deep-dive — You know competitor X is gaining market share. Filter Brand = competitor X, Reporting Range = 30 days, and read the ASIN table to see exactly which of their products are in the chart, at what rank, and at what price points. Sort by Rank to find their hero ASINs.
-
Track a brand's pricing strategy — Use the Price Trend column to see whether a competitor has moved prices up or down in the last period. Combined with their rank movement, this reveals whether discounting is buying them chart position.
-
Monitor your own brand's chart footprint — Set Brand = your own brand, look at # Products and Avg. Rating in the scorecard, and use the ASIN table to identify which of your products are slipping in rank or losing review momentum.
-
Identify consistent chart performers — Sort the ASIN table by "Number of times in top 100" to find ASINs that hold their chart position consistently versus one-off appearances. These are the products driving sustained category leadership.
-
New entrant detection — Compare "First date in top 100" against the start of your reporting window to spot ASINs that have only recently broken into the chart — often a leading indicator of a new launch or successful repositioning by a competitor.
Limitations & Notes
-
This is a drill-down dashboard. It is designed to be opened from the parent Bestseller Overview dashboard with a Brand pre-selected. Opening it standalone without selecting a Brand will return little or no data.
-
Chart observations, not continuous tracking. Rank, price, and rating values are based on periodic snapshots of the bestseller chart, not real-time monitoring. Very short-lived rank movements between snapshots may not be captured.
-
"First date in top 100" reflects observed history, not period scope. This column shows the earliest date the ASIN was ever observed in the chart by emax digital's tracker — it is not constrained to your selected Reporting Range.
-
Price conversion uses beginning-of-year exchange rates. Monetary values are converted to the selected currency using a fixed beginning-of-year rate, not the rate at the time of each observation. Cross-marketplace price comparisons should be interpreted with this in mind.
-
Restricted prices are excluded. Some ASINs have restricted pricing data (e.g. add-to-cart pricing) and will show blank price fields. These ASINs are also excluded from the Avg., Lowest, and Highest Price KPIs.
-
Prior-period comparison. The "Trend" columns and prior-period KPI deltas compare the current Reporting Range (7 or 30 days) against the immediately preceding window of the same length.
-
Brand attribution depends on Amazon's data. Brand assignment uses Amazon's listed brand for each ASIN. If a seller mis-tags their listing, the ASIN may be attributed to the wrong brand.
